We learned about comma splices from the grammar book on pages1092-1093. In the process, we discussed the proper use of semicolon, found on pages 1106-1107.
If I had a daughter:
Assigned for tomorrow: What wisdom would you pass on to your daughter/son? If you would prefer, use this: What wisdom do you wish your parents would have passed on to you? If this still doesn't strike a chord, use an uncle, aunt, or grandparent. You may go a step beyond and try to make your half-page paper a poem.
